Zoloft , (sertraline HCl) is has recently become more widely used to treat ADHD Aspergers Syndrome.
Drug companies withheld information showing antidepressants were ineffective and could be harmful to children and should have issued warnings on their products. Health authorities in Britain and the United States have voiced concern or advised doctors not to prescribe the drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) to children under 18 because of a potential suicide risk.

trouble sleeping, upset stomach, diarrhea, dry mouth,, sexual dysfunction, sleepiness or
tiredness, tremor, indigestion, increase of sweating, agitation, decreased appetite. Zoloft can substantially elevate serum caffeine levels.
Patients who continue their same level of coffee, tea, or cola ingestion while taking Zoloft could suffer caffeine
intoxication. Sertraline can
cause some people to become hostile and aggressive. Both hostility and
aggression are mentioned in the package insert in the US. In the United
Kingdom, one of the “undesirable effects” of Zoloft is “aggressive
reaction.” The Supreme Court New South Wales (Australia)
ruled on May 24, 2001 that a man’s ingestion of Zoloft caused him to murder
his wife in the case
Some claim that thousands of Americans are in jails
throughout the United States today because Pfizer and the other SSRI
manufacturers have not only failed to tell the public that this drug causes
hostility and aggression. It causes some people (3-5%) to
experience a suicidal event. Such events are marked by: 1) suicidal thoughts
2) suicidal gestures (typically cutting of the body) 3) suicide attempts 4)
actual death by suicide. 50 mg daily starting and should not exceed a maximum of 200 mg daily.
No clear dose-response relationship has been demonstrated, Sertraline should be administered with food once daily preferably with
the evening meal, or, if administration in the morning is desired, with
breakfast.
