Tenex for ADHD
Tenex is an anti-hypertensive drug designed to treat those with high blood pressure. It is not FDA approved for use to treat ADHD, however it is commonly accepted. It is also not FDA approved for children under 12 years of age.
Side Effects
- dry mouth
- constipation
- drowsiness
- dizziness
- headache
- difficulty sleeping (insomnia)
- dry eyes
- nausea
- vomiting
- skin rash or itching
- fatigue
- indigestion
- diarrhea
- slow heartbeat
- decreased sexual ability
- unusual tiredness or weakness
- confusion
- mental depression
- amnesia
- liver toxicity
- leg cramp
- sudden high blood pressure (if stopped abruptly)
Overdosing on Tenex can have severe effects. Symptoms of overdose include extreme drowsiness, weakness, dizziness, or confusion, unusually slow heartbeat, irritability, and constricted pupils. Call your doctor, the nearest poison control center, or 911 if you suspect an overdose.
It is recommended to avoid alcohol while taking Tenex.
